Team calls climate change target too weak

"LONDON (Reuters) - Draft plans to curb the nation's carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 60 percent by 2050 were too weak, an environment committee of parliamentarians said on Monday."
Tim Yeo MP is another victim of the dreaded King Canute Delusion Syndrome. He believes that we can actually reduce the average temperature of the entire planet. How? by reducing how much energy we use by over 60%. That would have us serfs returned to the stone age. We would not be allowed to use cars, washing machines, kettles, fridge freezers, TV's or have any heating on.

We would have to cover our houses in solar panels and windmills. Whilst I am not against this idea, I think if the Government were actually serious about this, and not simply using the debunked specter of man-made global warming as a cash cow and excuse to limit our freedoms and tax us to the hilt, then they would provide solar panels and windmills for free.
